Image via WikipediaJosselin Ancrum goes to town dressed as a lad to get a glimpse of Mary,Queen of Scots. She gets into a bit of a scuffle with men there, where she happens to meet Drew. Drew is English and therefore a sworn enemy of the Scots-which Josselin is. She meets with the Queens secretary-Philipe( a Frenchman) and delivers the message that the Queen would like her to spy for her.
Now golf is the game in this novel, and she is setup as a beer server at the games where she will receive missives. Meantime her relationship with Drew is becoming more than she bargained for. Will Drew discover her real reason for being there? Is he a spy? Can she trust him?
